Raymond Hart Sr., 73, our dearly loved father, grandfather, and husband, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, Nov. 21, 2016, in Lame Deer. He was born Feb. 1, 1943, in Crow Agency Hospital. We knew our dads heart and the sacrifice he made for our mother. Our Dad Raymond, his son Dale, daughter Sheryl and her two children Nicole and Justin knew the challenges but we all worked together to care for our mom. Although our dad had his own serious medical problems, he and Dale tended to our mom 24 hours per day seven days a week. Our dad was kind, gentle, had a good sense of humor, and was committed to his family. Also, Grandpa loved all of his Grandchildren dearly. He was especially close to Nicole and Justin Whiteman. Nicole was his driver to his medical appointments and he would greet her with “My Pal” while giving her a hug, he was always happy to see Justin asking him about his sports teams and enjoyed his company. Also grandchildren. Michael Hart (and Precious) whom he and Alfretta raised when Mike was in high school, granddaughter Hiliary Hart (and Ira) and their family, and grandson Zachary Hart as well as his great-grandchildren Daylon, Romeo, and MaTai No Runner. They all brought joy to his life.
Raymond is with his grandchildren and other loved ones who went before him in heaven. Raymond was welcomed into heaven by his grandchildren Cole and Cody Whiteman, Cassie Hart, and great-grandson Kaleo No Runner. Also welcoming Raymond in heaven is his mother Jessie Hart, his brother Robert, Stephanie, Jerome, and other family members.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 53 years Alfretta Hart sacrificing his own comfort and well-being for her. They loved each other more than words can express. He is survived by his three children. His son Dale Hart, daughter Sheryl Hart Whiteman and Nicole and Justin, and his son Raymond Jr., and Denise Hart; his sister Margaret Shoulderblade, Darlene and Mike Hamilton and family, Carolyn and Jason Whiteman Sr., and family, Larry Sr., and Marcie Beartusk , Marvin Beartusk and family (Marvin helped the family when needed), his brother Roger and Doris American Horse Sr. Jeanie Beartusk, and family, Gloria Waters and family, and the White Wolf, the Walksalong, and the Miller, Streeter, Gayley family from Oklahoma, and Alec Spotted Elk family, the Harris Family, as well as many other extended family and friends. We apologize if we forgot anyone.
The wake service will be at 7 p.m., Nov. 25, and funeral services at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Nov. 26, both services held at the Lame Deer Mennonite Church officiated by Pastor Willis Businetz and Joe WalksAlong Jr. We are very much appreciative of Pastor Businetz for his prayers, guidance, and loving support in our time of sadness and grief. Dad, we will see you soon in heaven and you are in our hearts forever. We love you! John 14 NKJV.
