Raymond Limpy, age 65, of Busby

September 16, 1955 – July 27, 2021

Raymond Shane Limpy, 65, of Rosebud MT. was Called Home Tuesday July 27th, 2021 in Billings MT. He was born September 16, 1955 in Crow Agency MT to Henry & Agnes (LittleWhiteman) Limpy

Raymond grew up on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation, Rosebud Creek area.

In his lifetime Raymond worked various jobs he was a crew boss for the BIA Forestry, was an Independent Contractor, was a Coach for the Busby School District for various sports, and at the time of his passing he was the Grounds Keeper for the Muddy District.  He also put on tournaments in Billings one was named the NIAA (National Indian Athletic Association) and other tournaments all over.  He was a very good advocate of the youth, he helped them with their trails and tribulation.

His hobbies included horse races, playing casino, doing leather work, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Raymond is survived by his daughters: Shanell Shamblen and Roy Jr.  Sissy Parker, DonnaLynn TwoBulls, Shrilaray Limpy, Faith Lynn WallowingBull, LittleRaven Oldman, Michaelene Friday, Misty Friday, and Betty KillsNight; sons Robbie Limpy, Sheldon Whiteshield and Margene, Shawn Limpy, Joshua Whitewolf, Bryan Parker, Neroy Friday, Jason TwoMoons, Alden TwoMoons, and Loren TwoMoons; siblings, Mary Jane Limpy, Eugene Limpy, Betty Limpy Williams, Donna Limpy-Gonzalez, Corrine Limpy-Washee, Annie Lou Limpy, Frankie Jo Limpy, Mary Still Smoking,  Grandchildren Charles Oldman, Josette Oldman, Elaina MedicineCloud, Kingston Limpy, Christopher Duran, Sebastian Duran, Zinedine Limpy, Maximillian Limpy, Phoenix WhiteAntelope, Raymond, Sheldon, and ShelRay Limpy, Ethan Seminole, Abdel Whiteshield, D’Angelo, Dylana, and Romeo Orozco.  His Great GrandChildren Kiiya’anii Sunny Oldman and Roma Rae Oldman and Regina LaRae Limpy.

He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Agnes Limpy,  Son Shane Limpy, siblings Homer, Lillian, Clifford, Letha, Sarah, Jimmy, Doris, Edith, Wahlena Limpy, Elvis OldBull Sr. grandparents Fred Limpy Sr and Mamie Limberhand maternal Grandparents Henry Little Whiteman and Edith Blackmedicine

    RIp Raymond. I can remember playing in Nationals 6 foot and under and Nationals. Raymond always treated us Fort Peck boys excellent. we are men now but it makes me misty eyed. Rest in Peace Raymon Shane Limpy. Kent “Shane” Moran

    Raymond was good to me all my life, he was a brother/friend to my dad Kenny. Treated me well all the time. Sure going to miss ss our visits and the wisdom you gave to me. Prayers and condolences to the family.

    knocked on my moms door for California dispatch 1am in the morning, went down and we on way to California, good crew boss, thats when busby had a district crew we actually had an all busby crew MIFF, RIP Ray, he knew I was bro’s with Jimmy he would tease me and ask how my dad was doing always brought us wood in winter when we had it rough!!!!!

    Raymond was my friend. We played basketball together with the Busby Eagles along with Austin Two Moons, Wesley Wolf Black, Matthew Long Jaw and many others! We had a great time and sat together on the bus while on the road to basketball games. RIP my friend. Kenny Shields – Poplar, Mt.

    He was a great man who stepped up to be my dad when I needed one as a young teenager and was the one who gave me my name when I came back from Afghanistan. He influenced me in so much of my formative years and helped me make the decision to become a soldier to serve our country. I loved you Raymond and I will always miss you

    i never knew my father growing up, but in the time frame i did know him he was the most kindest person i know. i wish our time wasn’t cut so short. i’ve been in denial for a long time about you going home but i know you are no longer suffering. i will stay strong for you and continue to be strong for you

    Grandpa i still miss you. Thank you for being apart of my life and buying me, my sisters, and brothers our snacks. I wanna update you on my life. I’m gonna be 14 on may 16, I will be promoting 8th grade on the 30th or 29th of may at Hardin. Ive been playing basketball since I was 10. I made varsity teams and scored couple 3’s in games, I hope your proud of me. I wish you were still here to watch me play on the court. I miss you teasing me and checking up on me. Give Colton, haven, and Mona a hug for me. Rest in piece grandpa🕊️🕊️🫶🏼
