Raziriah Rynalea Redstar also known as Zee or Z-Money. Entered this world Thanksgiving Day, 11/27/2002, in Billings Mt, to Shana Red Cherries and Sealmer RedStar Jr.
Zee lived with her parents until she was 4, then moved with her Grandma Rennie in Muddy Cluster.
Growing up in Muddy Crenshaw with her siblings, cousins and the rest of the rez-kids, were some of her fondest memories. Riding bikes, playing kick the can and cops and robbers.
From a young age she was raised in church attending Sunday school at the Lutheran church in Muddy cluster, Christ the Rock Church in Lame Deer, to attending the Assembly of God in Busby, and Indian Youth Camp each year in the summer.
Zee met Casey and Aubrey Cluver at Christ the Rock Church and they played a huge role as her parent figures. Spending time with the Cluvers growing up, was adventurous from doing farm chores, branding cattle, and many game nights, to convincing her to take her daily vitamins.
Zee was outspoken, when she was in head start, she asked the tribal president Geri Small, at the time, to speak at her graduation. Geri was honored at Zee’s request.
After head start, she attended grade school at St. Labre Indian School until eighth grade, and graduated from Lame Deer High School.
In high school she was very active in various sports, from volleyball to basketball, and graduated with the Class of 2022.
Throughout the years she was a huge part of the Fort Robinson Run and was always proud to represent her culture and her people.
Zee had a passion for make-up, and started doing make-up tutorials online and doing make-up for others for proms or events. You could also find her on Facebook live, because she loved to talk, there was never a quiet moment with Zee. She was so funny, and always made you feel so comfortable.
Amongst her many talents, Zee was creative, she could almost craft anything up with a few materials. She started sewing ribbon skirts and was always willing to make one for anyone who asked. She had a helpful heart, whether making you a ribbon skirt or giving you a gift, you could always feel her love when she was with you. She just wanted to make people happy.
Zee was a protector, whether it was a little kid or her sister, anyone who she loved. Although she was the youngest sister, she was still their bodyguards. She loved her grandma Rennie so much, and always tried to make her proud. You could find her in the casino, she liked to gamble and would always say “pick 44.”
She had a heart full of love and kindness, touching everyone she met. Her caring spirit and warm presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in our hearts. She brought joy and light to those around her and her love will never be forgotten. Her compassion and empathy has inspired us to be a better version of ourselves. She may be gone, but her love, kindness and spirit will continue to shine through us.
Zee was welcomed on the other side of camp by her mother Shana G, auntie Ang, Grandma Theda Eaglefeathers, Cecilia Medicine Elk, and Uncle Nate.
She was preceded in death by her mother Shana G. Redcherries, Auntie Angela Whiteman, Uncle Nathaniel Whiteman, Great grandmother Cecelia Medicine Elk, Great Grandmother Theda Eagle Feathers, her cousin Marquez Ontiveros, Her best friends Jobia Means, and Latitsha Yazzie, Selena Not Afraid and Keysera Stops who left this world too soon.
She is survived by her grandma Rynalea Whiteman Peña, her Grandpa Sealmer Redstar Sr. Her dad Sealmer Redstar Jr. Her aunties Kalene Fox, Sissy and Robyn Iron, Tina (Elliott) Redstar, Roseen Redstar, Stacy Redstar, Stephanie Redstar and her uncles Jonah Redcherries, Zachary (Amanda) Iron and Brian (Edina) Redstar.
