Reata Kelley Pinkerton died in a car accident on September 17, 2018, just days before her 18th birthday which is September 21, 2000.
Reata was a fiercely independent young woman who accomplished amazing things wherever she went. She started raising multiple types of livestock at a young age and produced some fantastic award-winning animals from her chickens and pigs, to her goats and cows. She played several different musical instruments including the cello and trombone and participated in multiple sports and organizations in school. Her name appeared in many newspapers covering various accomplishments that included: Science Expo Awards, Student Achievement and Leadership, BPA, Drama Club and 4-H. She was a member of Hardin Rainbow Assembly #33. She was also a gifted photographer and captured many beautiful scenes and moments in her life.
But most of all, Reata loved like no other. If Reata loved someone or something you knew it. She wore her heart on her sleeve. She knew how to revel in the simple joys of life and how to love through the painful times. Her beloved dog, Daisy was there for her to brighten up the hard times and soothed her soul. She knew exactly how to be right beside someone who was suffering even when she was struggling herself. Reata Kelley Pinkerton will be greatly missed, but the good she put out into this world will be carried on in the hearts of many people for many lifetimes.
She is preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Jerry Ferguson; great-grandparents, Buster and Grace Pinkerton; great-grandmother, Billie Redding; grandfather Bud Ward; and cousin, Laramie Farris.
She is survived by her parents Jaylene Pinkerton and Nolind Ward. Siblings Charlie, Lacey, Sage, and Zane. Grandparents David and Susie Redding, Uncle Clay (Yvonne), Paternal Grandmother Naomi Ward, Grandfather John Pinkerton, Great-Grandmother Betty Ferguson; great-grandfather, Don Redding and numerous extended family including great-aunts and uncles and numerous cousins.
Services will be at Stevenson and Sons in Forsyth, MT on Wednesday September 26th at 11:00. With a viewing from 10:00-11:00. A private burial will be at a later date.

Gracie Ann Waples Hill says
Dear Jaylene, John, Susie and David, Clay…and all the Pinkerton cousins….we send prayers and blessings and love during this difficult time. I still remember the spunky kid in 2006 when her Mom worked at St. John’s in Billings and she’d go out to Pappa John’s or Susie and David’s and spend time. A beautiful young lady and a very sad time for each of you now. Love, Gracie Ann Waples Hill

I’m truly saddened by the loss of your dear Reata. Death is so painful and much more painful in loss of a child. We will never get used to losing our love ones in death. The reason is because we were created with everlasting life in view. (Ecclesiastes 3: 11) Therefore, all those that have fallen asleep in death, Almighty God Jehovah promise to bring them back to life here on earth. (John 5: 28, 29; Psalms 37: 29) To learn more, please visit jw.org and view the faith strengthening Video: What is the condition of the Dead.

Jaylene, I am so very sorry. I remember her as a fierce little 3-year-old at CFG who always hugged me when I put her to bed while you were working the evening shift. She was spunky and a joy. My mom loved her also. I remember you calling her “Boo” and how much she looked like her. She was one of a kind and the world will be less bright without her.
And to the Jehovah’s Witless-stop stalking strangers’ obits and peddling your cult crap when people are grieving. This isn’t the first time I’ve seen this, and it’s absolutely disgusting how you try to take advantage of peoples’ vulnerability.
Denise & Dave Wagner says
