Reita Reinhart, age 67 of Wolf Point, Montana, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2007 at Sidney Extended Care in Sidney due to a long illness.
Reita was born to Marvin and Doris Brookman on May 15, 1939. She was a graduate of Wolf Point High School and a lifelong resident of Wolf Point. While working as a waitress at the Sweet Shoppe, Reita met and fell in love with Jim Reinhart, who was stationed at Glasgow Air Force Base, and was married June 11, 1960. They moved to the country where they raised their three children. She drove bus for the Frontier School District for many years. Jim, Reita and Marvin Brookman, Reitas father, worked together to raise outstanding bucking stock. She loved rodeos, was a Gold Card member of the PRCA and worked as timer for over forty years. Reita was a member of the Altar Society of the Immaculate Conception Parish and was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. While residing this past year at Sidney Health Center Extended Care, Reita made many new friends and enjoyed reading letters she had received from her sister almost daily. Although Reita had many kinds of animals, she especially loved her dogs and cats. She enjoyed working in her garden and her flowering rock gardens.
Reita is survived by her husband, Jim, of Wolf Point; son, Joe (Tammy) of Wolf Point; daughters, Cathy (Dave) Wieferich and Christina (Dean) Steinley of Sidney; a sister, Cleita Ashley of Tyler, AL; five granddaughters and two grandsons of Sidney and Wolf Point; and nieces and nephews, Marty and Terri Ashley, Danika and Audrina of AL; Mickey and Karen Ashley, Justin and Dustin of Tyler, AL; Alex and Kari McColman of South Carolina and Randy and Kristi Estes, Kaitlin, Randell, and Riley of Demopolis, AL.She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin & Doris, and her two brother-in-laws Tom Reinhart and Jim Ashley.
Visitation for Reita Reinhart will begin at 9:00 a.m., Friday, May 4, 2007 at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel with a Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday May 5th, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Fr. Steve Zabrocki as celebrant. Interment will be at the Greenwood Cemetery.
