Reta R. Hart, age 80, passed away on September 20, 2016 at TLC Assisted Living where she resided and received excellent care since early 2014.
Reta was born in Lyman, NE on August 14, 1936, the daughter of Chauncy and Artis Imus. Reta grew up in the Nebraska area with her parents and four sisters; Norma, Eleanor, Evelyn and Alberta. After high school Reta met Robert E. Hart and the two were married in Thermopolis, WY on May 26, 1960. To this union they had two children – Jerry and Robert. Reta worked numerous jobs to help support her family. Among them she worked at the post office/general store at Rock Springs, MT. She also worked in the sales departments of several stores through the years, and in housekeeping at Friendship Villa. She worked in the kitchen, and as night security at the Eagle’s Manor for many years.
Reta was a three time cancer survivor – she was a very tough lady! She loved watching her favorite TV shows, but most of all she truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Robert Chant of Miles City; several nieces and nephews; and longtime friend and caregiver Eva McCabe of Miles City. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; one son, Jerry; and her sisters.
