Reuben Lyle Fogle passed away January 9, 2026, at the VA Community Living Center in Miles City.
Reuben was born on April 26,1950 to Kenney and Alice Fogle in Jordan, Montana. Reuben grew up on the family ranch alongside sisters Marlene Shawver and Marva Fogle as well as brother Roger Fogle.
Reuben attended school in Jordan, Montana. He worked on a ranch and at father, Kenney’s gas station until joining the Navy in 1968 where he worked in the engine room of the ship. Reuben was in combat in Vietnam for 14 months.
After returning from the Navy, Reuben was a long-haul truck driver; he pulled flatbed, hauled heavy equipment, cattle, grain and more. He also worked on a combine crew for 8 years. His boss at this time designed a special combine trailer, which Reuben helped build.
Reuben’s past-times included hunting, tooling leather, and playing in cribbage tournaments in his younger years. Reuben could almost always be seen with a Pepsi in his hand, reading a book, solving a sudoku puzzle and dazzling others with his great sense of humor.
Reuben was survived by his brother, Roger Fogle; nieces, Crystal Fogle and Dina (Dennis) Kuchynka; nephews, Howard (Alyssa) Shawver, Josh Fogle, and Denim (Robin) Fogle. Reuben was also survived by numerous cousins.
Reuben was preceded in death by parents; Kenney and Alice Fogle; sisters, Marva Fogle, Marlene Shawver, and baby girl Fogle; brother baby boy Fogle.
There will be no services held at this time. Desired memorials can be made to the VA Community Living Center, in Miles City, MT, VFW in Jordan, MT, or the charity of ones choosing.
