Glenys (Rica Glenys) Stoler Rockwell, age 64, of Littleton, CO passed away at her home on September 11, 2008.
Glenys was born January 14, 1944 during World War II in Great Britain to John and Margaret (Bryce) Stoler of Miles City andShotton, Wales. After coming to the U.S., she attended schools in Miles City and graduated from CCDHS. She then attended Miles Community College and the University of Montana. Glenys taught for two years at Schofield School near Ekalaka, Montana.
On July 20, 1968, she married Gerald Rockwell at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Miles City. Her husband's work took them to Dallas, Texas and southern California where she did volunteer work in hospitals and taught in a resource room for special needs children. They subsequently moved to Littleton where she has made her home since.
A talented crafter, she loved to decorate cakes, sew, knit and read. She was a consummate dish and place setting second hand store bargain shopper. She had a green thumb and loved spending time in her garden. Most of all, she loved her family and watching over them. Each and every one of them held a special place in her heart.
Glenys is survived by her husband, her sons, Paul Emery of Pasco Robles, CA and Mark Edward of Littleton, CO. She is also survived by her siblings, John Stoler of Billings, MT, Sharon (Ted)Legarretta of Story, WY, Barbara (Jim) Seibert of Miles City, MT and Linda Stoler of Hardin, MT. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 19, 2008 at 10:00 am at the Custer County Cemetery in Miles City. Condolences may be made to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com.
