Richard Christianson, age 68, aka “Cowboy” of Forsyth passed away on October 8, 2024, in Forsyth. Richard was born on April 7, 1956, to Max Christianson and Betty Siedschlaw in Farmington, New Mexico.
Richard moved all over the United States at a young age, never in school for more than a year, before they had to move again because his dad was a seismographer and was constantly being transferred.
Rick graduated from high school in Ellisville Mississippi. After high school, Rick joined the U.S Army on June 28, 1974, and was later honorably discharged on November 26, 1976. In 1980 Rick married his first wife Debbie Johnson and was later divorced in 1981. On December 22, 1984, he married his second wife Connie Jennings and raised her son Cody Jennings together. They later divorced in 2000.
He later moved to Forsyth where he worked on the BNSF Railroad as a brakeman for 30 years. In 2010, Rick got into a motorcycle accident and was forced to medically retire from the railroad. Rick loved motorcycles and going fishing with his mom and dad on the Yellowstone River.
The love of his life was his trike, he enjoyed cleaning his bike everyday and showing his trike off. Rick would love to go for long rides, especially to Red Lodge and Sturgis. His favorite riding buddies were Rod Hendericks, Justin Ash, and Donny.
Rick is survived by 2 nephews Ryan and Tyson Christianson, 1 niece Chelsey Christianson, and 1 great niece Cali Christianson, his sister-in-law Ramona Christianson, ex-wife Connie Jennings and her son Cody Jennings. His very close friends Justin and Marsha Ash, and many more friends and numerous cousins.
Rick is preceded in death by his parents Max and Betty Christianson, his little brother Ronald Christianson, his ex-wife Debbie Johnson, numerous aunts and uncles and cousins.

OMG cowboy what a ride. We rode many of train. We took many of bike rides. We laughed , poked fun at each other, drank and had many years of fun. I’ll miss are talks on the phone and all the funny things that you would come up with. Rest in peace.

Oh Rick , you dear sweet man , I met Rick through Rod Hendricks . And we would visit on the phone and Rick would pick on Rod and we would all laugh, that laugh of ricks oh my goodness ! He would come and have coffee with us when I would come visit and hang out ! He loved talking about motorcycles ! He would visit about that all day long . I myself enjoyed visiting with him about riding ., and we had plenty talks about riding , I had no idea his nickname was cowboy ! How cool … you will be missed by many ! Rick I’m sorry to hear of your passing. You are going to be missed. We didn’t get to ride the Smoky Mountians of Tennessee. I know you had fun riding with Justin and Rod though. I guess now you will be a ghost rider in the sky. Rest easy buddy.
