Richard “Dick” Allard, 74, of Forsyth passed away peacefully in his home on February 8, 2019 with his wife and sister in law by his side. Richard was born on July 15, 1944 in Glendive, Montana to Ruth and Lloyd Allard. His love of flying began at 11 years old. He attended schools in Glendive, later joining the Army.
Richard was married to the love of his life, Barbara for 31 years. He spent his life as a heavy equipment mechanic and owned his own air conditioning business. He enjoyed rebuilding wrecked airplanes. Richard joined the airport board in 2018.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Lloyd Allard; sons, Clarke and Jason Allard.
He is survived by wife, Barbara; children: Tod Allard, Chad(Roxy) Hanson, Lisa (Jason) Turner, Rebecca (Connor) Ross, Kari (Kris) Hanson; grandchildren: Mason, Robby, Abigail, Andrew, Cameron, Austin, Jazzy, Emma, Aiden, Ethan; pups: Daisy and Sassy; best friend, Sonny Barta; sister, Sharon Allard; brother, Eugene (Roberta) Allard; sisters in law, Gail (Clarence) Walth and Christy Durham; brother in law, David (Vicki) Kieckbusch.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Forsyth at 11:00 A.M. Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home have been entrusted with the arrangements, to leave condolences for the family, please visit our website at www.stevensonandsons.com.
