On February 11, 2021, Richard “Rich” L. Dame, age 67, passed away at the family home with family by his side.
Richard was born in Glendive to Lawrence and Georgie Dame on December 5, 1953, he was the oldest of four children. Rich attended Sacred Heart School. He left home at the young age of seventeen to work on the oil field with his uncle John Beeler. He worked for Signel Oil Company, Western Oil Company until he was around 26 years old then he worked for Mitchell Brother Inc. until it closed. He then went to work for Pine Street Construction where he worked until his health started to fail in 2005. Rich then moved back to Miles City to live with his mother so she had help. He went to work at Reynolds Grocery where he worked until 2015 when his health took a turn for the worse and he had to retire.
Rich loved to hunt and was always looking for the biggest buck he could find. He also loved fishing especially paddle fish or any other he may catch.
Rich is survived by his mother Georgie Dame of Miles City, MT; sisters: Virginia (David) Wilson of Killeen, TX, Cyndi (Maurice) Kowalzek of Billings, MT; a brother Calvin (Bonnie) Dame of Miles City. His was preceded in death by his father Lawrence Dame, grandparents John and Bertha Dame, Georgie and Helen Beeler and to many aunts, uncles and cousins to mention them all.
Rich’s family would like to thank Hospice for they care the gave him in his last days.
