RICHARD LEE STEELE
Richard Lee Steele passed away June 11, 2004 at Brockway, Montana doing a job of tearing down old buildings.
Richard (Dick) was born January 29, 1950 in Jordan, MT, the eighth child of William M. and Maybelle (Watt) Steele. Dick lived at home all of his life except for the two years he attended school at Boulder, MT. He worked for Bill Sept for many years. He was involved with Brockway Dairy Days, doing lawn mowing within Brockway, and worked with many local farmers and ranchers. His greatest joy was being referred to as Mayor of Brockway. His birthday was always celebrated Super Bowl Sunday with friends and family. Dicks love for music helped him learn to communicate better with other people. He enjoyed spending time with nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He is survived by five brothers and sisters: Donnajo (Don) Chaney of Montana and Arizona, Larry (Cheryl) Steele of Las Cruces, NM, William (Lucetta) Steele of Circle, Judy (Pat) Sanders of Fernley, NV, and Bob (Kathy) Steele of Glasgow. He is also survived by three uncles: Bill Watt of Libby, MT, Joe Watt of Republic, WA, and Frank Watt of Yakima, WA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
His parents, a brother Homer, and sister Betty Ann VanHeel preceded Dick in death.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Circle from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 17 at 10 am at the Circle Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at the Brockway Cemetery.
