Richard (Rich) William Kransky passed away April 29, 2021 doing what he loved, at age 71.
He was born September 28, 1949 in Miles City, Montana to Donald and Bonnie Kransky. Rich graduated from CCHS in 1967 and went to MCC where he earned an Associates Degree in electronics. Rich and Claudia Olson were married in 1968 and recently celebrated 53 years of marriage. They had 3 children: Richard (Rick) Kransky, Rachel Ann Kransky and Heidi (Todd) Ross.
Rich had many interests in life. In the 1960’s he played in garage bands (The Young Rebels), he was always fixing the things everyone broke. He worked at Coast to Coast, Holy Rosary Hospital, Miles City Fire Department (Retired as Captain). He enjoyed his retirement working at the golf course. He loved cruising around in his Mustang Convertible and motorcycles, traveling and camping in his RV. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served as an elder for a time. He loved his “little girl” jack russel Lanie.
Rich is survived by his wife Claudia, son Rick (grandsons Kaden & Tiegan) daughter Heidi, son-in-law Todd Ross (grandchildren David, Morgan and Blain Ross), sister Karen Varner, sister-in-law Sheryl Kransky, brother-in-law Paul Olson, nieces Jennifer Kransky and Jessie Beehler, nephews Jason, Jered and Ryan Varner, step-mother Phyllis Kransky, step-sisters: Barbara Beaver, Delsie Dodge, Levi Beaver, and many great nieces and nephews and close friend Chris Flynn.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Rachel Ann Kransky, parents Donald and Bonnie Kransky, brother Bill Kransky, mother and father-in-law Claris and Ruby Olson, and brothers-in-law Mark Olson and Montell Gary Varner.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Miles City. Interment will follow in the Custer County Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church/School, the Miles City Fire Department or a charity of one’s choice.
