Riley Eugene Schultz left this world tragically on September 19, 2023 in Broadus, MT. He was born May 3, 1987 in Denver, CO to Karen Faye Schultz and John Jenkins, the youngest of Karen’s five sons. He was 36 years old, too young to be gone but he is in a better place now with the Lord and at peace.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, playing his guitar, drawing, and building things. He had dreamed of moving to New Mexico and living off the land, off the grid. Though family is scattered about, Riley valued the importance of family and spending time with them as often as possible.
He is survived by his longtime partner Brooke Olson of Broadus; three young children, Ava Rae and Kenneth Schultz and Parker Smith; parents Karen Schultz of Glendive and John Jenkins of Broadus; brothers Kurt Schultz of Great Falls, MT; Karl (Jade) Canen of Grand Forks, ND; Daniel “Joe” Perkins and Thomas (Bernice) Perkins of Saco, MT and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Eugene and Joanne Jenkins of Glendive, MT; Roy and Myrtice Schultz of Hinsdale, MT; stepfather Dan Perkins of Saco.
There will be no services at this time, the family will plan a celebration of life in the near future.
In lieu of flowers, Brooke Olson and Kurt Schultz have set up GoFundMe accounts to help the family cover expenses.
