Rita’s family were our neighbors and her brother Frank was a good friend of mine. Frank gave me a ride home after school, then drove two blocks downtown to the Wall Cafe. There, he complained of a headache, slumped over, lost consciousnesses, and died two days later of meningitis. Rita, also our neighbor, and Franks younger sister, was our friend, and classmate in WHS Class of 1962. We marched together in the class graduation. This year we celebrate our 50th class reunion. She will be missed by everyone.
