Robbie South
Robbie Lee South, age 40, of Miles City passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at the Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center in Clackamas, Oregon while being treated with acute leukemia.
Robbie was born on September 25, 1971 in Miles City, Montana, the son of Lonnie Lee and Barbara Faye (Miech) South. He attended grade school and graduated from Custer County District High School in 1989. Following graduation, he attended Miles Community College and went to work at K-Mart in Miles City, and continued his position in International Falls and Minneapolis. He then took on K-Mart´s branch called K.R.A.D. (Kids Race Against Drugs) which took him throughout the United States. He later moved to Fairfield, California then Crescent City, California with K-Mart as store Manager, later transferring him to Portland as manager in the K-Mart Stores. He remained in the Portland Metro area and became the loss prevention manager there until the time of his death.
Robbie loved taking photos and listening to music. He also enjoyed traveling and most of all spending time with his family.
Robbie is survived by his parents, Lonnie and Barbara South of Miles City, MT; a brother, Jason South of Portland, OR; a sister, Donna (Marc) Martinez of Colorado Springs, CO; his aunts: Diane Dempster of Parkman, WY; Wanda (Art) Peaslee of Miles City, MT; Judy Kings of Miles City, MT; Marilyn (Tom) McBride of Billings, MT; Glinda Hunter of Miles City, MT; and Marla Cooper of Missouri; his uncles: Jack (Maggie) Miech of Parkman, WY; Bob (Darlene) South of Miles City, MT; and Lloyd (Joanne) South of Miles City, MT; and three nieces: Jordan, Gabriel and Samantha.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Custer County Cemetery. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of the arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Robbie´s family to help defray medical expenses.

I just learned of Rob’s passing 12/31. I am sorry to hear he is gone. I worked with him at the Kmart in Gresham Or. He did alot with March of Dimes through Kmart. He got the whole store involved. He will be missed.
