Robert Cleveland Bement, 39, of Ashland, MT went home to be with our Lord August 29, 2024 after a long battle with diabetes. Robert was born on March 19, 1985 to Roberta Bement and the late Larry Singer in Miles City, MT. Ho’neeho’esta (Fire Wolf) was named after his maternal great grandfather Dallas Wolfblack. Proud of his lineage of the Northern Cheyenne, Crow, Sioux and Nez Perce Nation. Born of the Big Lodge Clan and child of Big Lodge and a descendant of the Cheyenne Chief Patrick Spotted Wolf. Also known to family and friends as Munchie and Rob Doo.
Rob’s early childhood was spent with his grandparents Robert and Cecelia. His grandparents nurtured his love for dancing and traveled the pow wow circle. Rob was a gifted traditional dancer and adorned the beautiful bead work made by his grandmother and his mother. With his pow wow winnings he often invested in his pow wow regalia. Although Rob no longer danced, however he enjoyed attending local pow wows to hear the singers and watch the dancers.
Rob grew up in the Ashland area and attended school at Ashland Public School and St. Labre Indian School. While living in Salt Lake City, Utah he attended Horizonte High School. Rob also spent a year in Phoenix with his uncle Gary and family. Following high school, he lived in Billings with his mother and held numerous jobs in the retail industry. This sparked his entrepreneur spirit and an eye to see a potential hustle in anything. In his most recent years of life, Rob took up drawing, this was a release for him when dealing with his health. He often drew for friends and family. His graffiti art was unique and done free hand. His art portfolio grew rapidly, and he sold designs to local business which was a very proud moment for him.
