Vigil Service: Will be held on Monday, March 21 at 7:00 pm at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Funeral Services: Will be on Tuesday, March 22 at 11:00 am at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Forsyth.
Military Honors: Will follow at the Forsyth Cemetery.
Robert Johnson (Bob), age 85, of Forsyth, MT passed away on March 15, 2011 at the V.A. nursing home in Glendive, MT.
Bob was born on June 25, 1925 in Deer Lodge, MT the son of Raymond and Lillian Johnson. He grew up on the family ranch in the Deer Lodge Valley, attending school in Deer Lodge, MT. He enjoyed playing the violin in high school.After going to college for a year he went into the Army and served at the end of the World War II in occupation Japan. He came home and went back to college at Montana State and majored in agriculture.On December 22, 1950 he married Betty Mardis in Bozeman, MT. They have one son Eric Johnson and two granddaughters Jesse and Harlee Johnson.Bob raised cattle and potatoes when in Powell County, MT. In 1973 he moved to Forsyth and raised cattle.
Survivors include his wife, Betty, son Eric and two granddaughters Jesse and Harlee Johnson.
