Robert Ray Brown, age 61, of Miles City, MT passed away on November 1, 2023, at Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City.
Bobby was born on March 7, 1962, in Las Vegas, NV, the son of Herman and Myrna (Potter) Brown. Bobby lived in Las Vegas for a short period of time before the family moved to Miles City where he began attending school. During high school he excelled in sports, especially football and baseball. He won the local punt, pass and kick contest and went on to regionals. Bobby graduated from CCDHS in 1980 and soon after began working for Portable Pavers for a short period of time. In 1991 his son Chance was born. Shortly after he moved to Billings and worked for Cop Construction before moving back to Miles City in 2011 to work for Sanjel. He worked for Sanjel for five years until he was forced to retire due to health issues.
Bobby enjoyed following and watching sports, he especially enjoyed watching Nascar and football and was an avid 49’ers fan. Bobby was always up for a good time and never turned down an opportunity to hang out with friends and family. In his younger years he earned himself the nickname “Downtown Bobby Brown” because he never was one to back down from an altercation.
Bobby is survived by his son, Chance Kale of Miles City; one brother, Gary Brown of Miles City and three nieces, Shawna Russell, Nicole Brown and Kelsey Arme. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Brown and Myrna Chavez; stepdad, Ernie Chavez; one brother, John Brown and one sister Brenda Brown.
