Robert Joseph Camrud, age 76, of Miles City formerly of Wolf Point passed away on Monday, January 8, 2007 at the VA Nursing Home in Miles City.
Robert was born in Benrud, Montana on November 21, 1930, the son of Joseph and Ingeborg (Brynjelsen) Camrud. He attended schools in the Benrud community and graduated from high school in Wolf Point. Following his schooling, he entered the United States Army where he served for two years. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to Wolf Point where he farmed his entire life. In 2002, he moved to Miles City where he lived at the Veterans Nursing Home until the time of his death. Robert loved his dogs. He was a member of the Elks and a lifetime member of DAV.
Robert is survived by eight daughters: Tina (John Peters) Camrud of Miles City, MT; Nancy (Kerry) Ketchum of Billings, MT; Bobbi (Jess) Camrud-Willson of Miles City, MT; Jodi (Phillip Gill) Camrud of Billings, MT; Renee (Chris Benson) Camrud of Bemidji, MN; Kristie Camrud of Billings, MT; Rynda Camrud of Billings, MT; and Tia (John Patterson) Camrud of Miles City, MT; one step-son, Ty Jensen of Billings, MT; a brother, Morris Camrud of Billings, MT; twenty grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Iver Camrud in 2006.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 11, 2007 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 12, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Wolf Point.
