In Memory Of

Robert Elsbury

Visitation: Thursday, August 30, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City.

Funeral Service: Friday, August 31, at 2:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home.

Interment: Custer County Cemetery in Miles City.

Dr. Robert Edward Joseph Elsbury, age 40, of Miles City, Montana, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2007, as a result of an automobile accident there.

Robert was born in Litchfield, Illinois on February 10, 1967, the son of Robert F. and Sue Ellen (Starcevich) Elsbury. He attended grade school and graduated from Sherrard High School in Sherrard, IL in 1985. During his undergraduate work at Southern Illinois University, he spent semesters in France and in Mexico, becoming fluent in both languages. Robert then graduated from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri, after which he interned at several hospitals in Chicago. After completing his internship, he moved to Montana, practicing in Scobey, Anaconda, Chester and Wolf Point before moving to Miles City.

Robert loved to hunt and fish and to spend time with his dogs. But the light and loves of his life were her daughters.  Priya Fay Elsbury, 2, of Sidney, MT, will greatly miss their father. Also left to mourn are his mother, Sue Ellen (Pierre) Leroy of Scottsdale, AZ; his grandmothers: Gail Elsbury, Rock Island, IL, and Elizabeth Starcevich, Springfield, IL; brothers: Michael (Rhonda) Elsbury and Robert (Rita) Elsbury, both of Sherrard, IL; sisters: Michelle Elsbury, Manama, Bahrain; Kristin (Carlos) Agosti, Sherman Oaks, CA;Faythe (Tonnie) Farwell of Rock Island, IL.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 30, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 31, at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Custer County Cemetery in Miles City.

Condolences and memories may be sent to the family by visitingwww.stevensonandsons.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sherrard High School Booster Club, Sherrard, IL 61281 in Dr. Elsburys name.

    i miss you everyday, i was so blessed to have you as my doctor. i know your looking over me as you sent me a wonderful dr now. as she takes good care of me just like you did. i cant believe its been 5 yrs since you passed away. your my little angle and thanks for taking caring of me untill we meet again. i will see you sunday i am bringing you some flowers.. love you forever brenda

    Today is February 10, 2013. This would have been my brother’s 46th birthday. Thank you for putting flowers on his grave. I don’t live in Montana, otherwise I would do the same as you. I am glad you are remembering Eddie, or Robert, as you may have known him.
