In Memory Of

Robert “Bob” Gregg, age 77, of Jordan.

March 20, 1945 – November 9, 2022

Bob Gregg passed away on November 9, 2022 with his family by his side. Bob was born March 20, 1945 in Gillette, Wyoming to Forrest and Mary Gregg. He was raised on the family’s homestead north of Wright. Bob attended school in Gillette until 1959 when the family relocated to Garfield County. He attended 8th grade at Indian Creek School and high school in Jordan, where he made life-long friends while living in the dormitory.

After high school Bob worked for Vaughn Newland, building dams. After attending college in Havre from 1965-1967, Bob taught at the Blackfoot School for a year where he taught “math and baseball”.

Bob met Jacque Jo Rhoads on New Year’s Eve in 1970 and they were married on November 30, 1972. Bob owned Big Dry Lumber from 1970 to 1977. After selling the lumberyard, Bob built Behlen buildings and did concrete work. He put up many Behlen buildings in Garfield County and surrounding areas. Bob moved the family to the Gregg Ranch in 1983 where he ranched until 1993 when he moved his ranching operation to the Orpha Dann place north of Flowing Well. Bob also moonlighted as a heavy equipment operator on various road and mining projects throughout his lifetime.

Bob enjoyed visiting. He was a dedicated member of the “coffee crowd”. Never missed a chance to meet up with family, friends, and old classmates. He enjoyed going to the lake with his kids, he even bought a fishing pole, but I don’t think it’s ever been used.

Bob is survived by his wife Jacque, children Cindy Gregg – Aimee, Alex, Riley & Lynzee; Deana (Pat) Sinclair – Shane, John & Logan; Darci (Curt) Wiley- Jayde & Lincoln; Devin; Dalauna (Clint) Potts – Forrest & Claire; Danielle; siblings Jane (Frank) Nelson and Jim (Rhonda); niece Erika Cremer – Lyla, Adrian, & Raydan and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter Dixie.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2022, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Jordan. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall in Jordan. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Pioneer Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com.

Cindy and Aimee, it’s been 40 years but I still think of you often and was so sad to hear you lost your father and grandfather. It’s so hard. It can help to talk with him still, and know he can hear you. If you ever have a problem or need help, he’ll be able to give you an answer, this I know. And I know he loved you and was a great man because he raised a wonderful daughter in Cindy. All the best wishes for peace and comfort during the coming months and beyond. Love, Isabella
