Robert K. Bob Gustafson, age 80, of Culbertson, died August 21, 2003 at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, MT. He was born September 10, 1922 in Bainville, MT to parents Arthur and Ethel (Karnes) Gustafson.
He was born in the Bainville area and attended schools there. He served in the U.S. Army in New Guinea. He went to work for the Bureau of Reclamation and then Montana Dakota Utilities after his discharge. Bob married Viola E. Sackman and lived in Culbertson ever since. He belonged to the American Legion Post in Bainville. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and visiting with friends, especially at the coffee shop.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother William and sister Lois McKinney. His wife Viola, of Culbertson, survives him.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 26, 2003 from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Clayton Everson Stevenson Chapel in Culbertson. Funeral services are Wednesday, August 27, at 10:00 a.m. at the Everson-Clayton-Stevenson Chapel in Culbertson with Rev. Alvin Beyer officiating.
