Funeral service for Robert Leonard, known to his family and friends as Bobby will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 13, 2004, at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming with Father Thomas Kadera of the St. Matthews Catholic Church of Gillette officiating. Interment will follow at the New Haven Cemetery in Hulett, Wyoming. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, August 12, 2004 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette.
Bobby Leonard, age 61, of Gillette, Wyoming died Thursday, August 5, 2004 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyoming of natural causes.
Robert L. Leonard was born April 15, 1943, the son of Harold and Opal (Dennison) Leonard in Belle Fourche, South Dakota. Bobby was raised in the Hulett, Wyoming area, where his family ranched. He attended Campbell County High School in Gillette, Wyoming and remained in the Gillette area, working in the oil fields for many years, including Melgaards Construction where he drove truck for nearly ten years.
Bobby enjoyed genealogy and coin collecting.
Bobby is survived by two sons: William Duane Leonard and Eddie Leonard both of Gillette, Wyoming; four daughters: LaVonn Urrutia, Buffy Leonard, Raylynn Leonard all of Gillette, Wyoming and Christy Leonard of Oklahoma; one brother, James Leonard of Gillette, Wyoming; one sister, Betty Barkley of Rapid City, South Dakota; numerous grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter and one brother.
