He always looked our for me like father figure. I’m deeply saddened & heartbroken for for his children & grandchildren he helped raise. Will most definitely cherish our “Friendship” & utmost respect to our Northern Cheyenne Chief. Love you Faith & siblings for sharing him. Ne’aish

During the 1965-66 school year, Robert got on the Colstrip High School bus at the lane just south of the Lame Deer Mennonite Church. He was a senior, but very friendly, even being friends with us lowly freshmen. In those days, the Cheyenne Rez enforced a 10pm curfew for anyone under the age of 18. I remember Robert telling how he stayed up all night on his 18th birthday, and he and a buddy celebrated by walking all over Lame Deer-immune from police interference. It seems like those days weren’t that long ago. So sorry to hear of Robert’s passing, and to know that our Hardin chats are now limited to memory only. Sincere prayer, during this time, for Robert’s loved ones.

Robert was a proud Cheyenne Chief. I will always remember that as a member of the Chief’s Society he was the first to offer condolences to members of the Tribe that passed away. Robert and I were classmates through out our High School years and played some basketball. I held him in high respect. We offer our prayers and condolences to Robert’s family and friends .
