Robert Dudley Bob McCurdy, age 86, of Broadus passed away on Friday, November 2, 2007 at the Powder River Manor in Broadus.
Bob was born in Miles City, Montana on June 30, 1921, the son of Ralph and Helen (Hughes) McCurdy. Bob was raised and attended schools in Broadus and graduated from Powder River County High School. Following graduation, he attended one year of college at Montana State University in Bozeman. Bob enlisted in the United States Army, serving in Korea. He was honorably discharged in 1947. Bob married MaryRadman on June 14, 1947 in Broadus, Montana. Bob was a ditch digger from 1947 to 1948, and a Case and Dodge dealer from 1949 to 1955. Bob then bought the mobil gas station which he ran from 1955 to 1985 before retiring. Bob was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the Masons. Bob was a Sunday School teacher at the Congregational Church in Broadus.
Bob is survived by his children: Jeri Ann Perry of Hines, OR; Barb Keil of Billings, MT; Sandy ODell of Price, UT; Mary Jane Rogge of Broadus, MT; Valerie Barry of Billings, MT; and Beverly Hagen of Chaska, MN; thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Neal and a sister Claire.
