Funeral service for Robert Prazma will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 15, 2004, at the First Presbyterian Church in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Marty Crump of the Family Life Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Gillette. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, November 14, 2004 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming.
Robert Prazma, age 73, of Gillette, Wyoming, died November 11, 2004, at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyoming of cancer.
Robert E. Prazma was born June 17, 1931, the son of James and Anna (Sabatka) Prazma in Moorcroft, Wyoming. He attended school in Rozet, Wyoming, graduating in 1949. For a brief time after his schooling, he worked construction, then as a custodian at the Rozet School. Robert married Shirley Heptner on December 27, 1955 in Gillette, Wyoming. The couple moved to Gillette, Wyoming, where Robert worked for Petes Auto Body and Davis Chevrolet. Robert worked in the auto business for over forty years. Although Robert retired in 1993, he became a caregiver for family members that needed a helping hand.
In his earlier years, Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. Robert loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and also enjoyed family vacations in his motor home. Robert liked to visit with his neighbors and kept in contact with everyone at Davis Chevrolet. He was also a past member of the Elks Lodge in Gillette, Wyoming.
Robert is survived by his wife, Shirley of Gillette, Wyoming; his son, Randy (Tamera) Prazma of Imperial Beach, California; his daughter, Marleen (Don) Cooper of Gillette, Wyoming; his brother, Jerry (Roberta) Prazma of Moorcroft, Wyoming; five grandchildren: Dustin (Liisaan) Cooper of Laramie, Wyoming; Jimmy Prazma of Philmont, New York; Derek Cooper and Makayla Hunter, both of Laramie, Wyoming; Randy Prazma, Jr. of Philmont, New York; Brooke Prazma of Philmont, New York; two step grandchildren: Cameron Gardner and Brittany Gardner, both of Imperial Beach, California; two nieces and one nephew.
A memorial has been established in Roberts name to benefit the Heptner Oncology Cancer Center or Hospice of Campbell County Memorial Hospital.
