Vigil Service and Rite of Committal: Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Stevenson Mischel Olson Chapel in Dickinson interment will follow in the St. Josephs Cemetery in Dickinson
Robert S. Wilhelm, age 76, of Miles City passed away on Monday, September 26, 2006 at the VA Nursing Home in Miles City.
Bob was born on May 2, 1930 at St. Josephs Hospital in Dickinson, North Dakota, the son of Jack and MollieKlug Wilhelm. He was baptized, confirmed and made First Communion at St. Josephs Church in Dickinson. He attended grade school at St. Josephs in Dickinson. He joined COK164 Infantry in November of 1950. On January 16, 1957 he was sent to Camp Rucker, Alabama. He was discharged on December 16, 1952. While in Dickinson he did Carpentry work and worked forSande Music, until he moved to Miles City in the late 60s. There he worked for Cuttings Sheet Metal until his retirement. On October 14, 1988, he and Irene Beyl were married. Irene died on October 5, 2005. Bob enjoyed tinkering and fixing things.
Bob is survived by his sister, Doris Berger of Dickinson, special friends: Peggy, Wendy, Rob, Bob, Debbie & family, Paul & Lois of Miles City and Pat and Bonnie Carroll of Dickinson; and 10 cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife Irene, his parents Jack and Mollie Wilhelm; a brother Jack Jr. and a sister, Betty.
