Allyne Roberta Bobby Rehn, age 91, of Miles City passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2009, following a period of declining health.

Bobby was born on May 12, 1918, in Miles City as the fifth of six children of Emily Kelly and John August Johnson. Bobbys given name was Allyne, but after dealing with mispronunciations of that name, she began to use Roberta and was known as Bobby from grade school age on. Bobby graduated from Custer County High School in Miles City and then attended Kinman Business University. She married Frank Edward Rehn, Sr., on January 10, 1942, in Miles City. After two weeks of marriage, Frank entered the United States Army and Bobby did not see her new husband for nearly four years. While Frank was in the military service overseas Bobby cared for an ailing aunt and then worked for a short time in a bank in Miles City. Bobby was married to Frank for over sixty years until his passing in March of 2002. Bobby was born and raised in Miles City, living there for nearly her whole life except for a five year period when she and her husband lived in Spokane to be closer to grandchildren. After Franks death Bobbys desire was to move back to her home town, Miles City.

Bobby was known for her outstanding homemaker and knitting and crocheting skills. She made many beautiful dolls with full skirts. She always adapted the patterns to make each dolls skirt extra special. Bobbys whole life was centered on her family, taking care of her husband and two sons. Bobby was active for many years in church activities at the Evangelical Trinity Lutheran Church, giving fully of herself to others.

Her survivors include her two sons, Frank E. Rehn Jr., and his wife, Diana Lynn, of Spokane and Michael James Rehn of Miles City; eight grandchildren: Frank III of Portland, OR, Zachary L. Rehn, currently in the Coast Guard stationed in Ohio, Christina Hopper (Joseph) of Great Falls, Cassandra, Alexander, Xavier, Quenton and Gabrielle of Spokane; her one surviving sister, Myrla Beard, of Spokane; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
