Roberta (Bobbie) Lynn Ryum passed away unexpectedly in her home at Eagles Manor on March 4, 2015.
Roberta was born on June 1, 1953 in Miles City, the daughter of Cecil and Betty Ryum. Roberta attended school in Miles City, graduating from Custer County High School in 1971. Following high school graduation she moved with her two sisters, Patti and Marilyn, to Reno, NV where they all lived and worked for about a year. Upon returning to Miles City, Roberta worked a variety of jobs, including the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Buckboard Motel for many years. Following her father’s death, she moved to Billings to live with and help care for her mother. While there, she worked at the Holiday Inn until her own health forced her to stop working. In 2013 she moved back to Miles City and resided at the Eagles Manor until the time of her death.
Roberta enjoyed reading, playing with her cat and visiting with family and friends. She truly enjoyed the time she spent at the Manor and was proud that she was able to be a companion to and lend a helping hand to a few of the residents who she felt were in need of her assistance.
Roberta is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Betty Ryum and her sister, Patti Ryum. She is survived by her sister, Marilyn (Ron) Frize of Miles City, her brother, Gary (Billie) Ryum of Glendale, AZ, her nephew Hunter Ryum of Las Vegas, NV and her Aunt and Uncle, Anne and Jack Westrope of Billings, with whom she had a very special relationship, as well as other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her very close companion, her cat Buddy.
At Roberta’s request, cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date. Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Marilyn and family,
This was such a shock. Bobbi was coming over every tuesday and helping me get my listings ready for ebay. She got very excited about it and was going through her own things to list, in fact calling me twice on wednesday asking questions so she would be ready for the next tuesday.
We were going to start walking as soon as it got nice.
Bobbi, Suzanne, Carol, Linda and I would get together for birthdays, Bobbi so enjoyed us all getting together.
She seemed to finally be settling in at the Manor, helping others and doing more.
We all are going to miss her.

Cynthia Cherry-Schif says
I am so sad to hear of Bobbi’s passing. She was a friend through grade school, junior high and high school. I am sending my prayers up that she will have an easier time up there, than she did on earth. Though we were never really close, she was always a lovely friend to me, and she and I always had a fun chat together. This is just so sudden and sad to say goodbye to those you’ve known all your life. God Bless.
