In Memory Of

Robyn Huber, age 56, of Fallon

October 8, 1965 – April 3, 2022

Robyn Lou Huber, age 56, of Fallon passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022 in Billings, Montana.

Robyn was born on October 8, 1965 in Glasgow, Montana, the daughter of Richard and Donna (Skinner) Raymond.  She was the oldest of four children.  She attended elementary school in Hays Lodge Pole and graduated high school there in 1983.  Growing up, she was a ranch girl.  She loved to ride horses and spend time outdoors.  During her school years, she was a cheerleader.  Following graduation, she attended the University of Montana for a year before moving to Miles City where she attended Miles Community College and received an Associate of Arts Degree.  In November of 1991 she married Jack Huber who she met at the Alta Saloon in Miles City.  Robyn and Jack had 2 sons, Nathan and Zack.

Robyn worked at Billings Clinic in Miles City, holding a multitude of positions, with the most recent as a Pod Clerk.  She always said she didn’t have time to waste vacation days when she was sick.  She stood true to that as she worked up until one week before her death.

Robyn was very crafty!  She loved to knit and make t-shirts.  If there was a craft fair near, Robyn was there.  She enjoyed camping with her family, but did not like Jack changing campers all the time, trying to find the one that would hold ALL the toys.  She also enjoyed riding UTV and Motorcycles.  She joined the Tenacious Dames on June 1, 2015 and most recently was the President of the Miles City Chapter.  She loved to ride and enjoyed many trips to Sturgis. She was a huge fan of Kid Rock.  Her greatest joy was her grandchildren Zoe and Carter whom she adored.

She was preceded in death by her grandma Hazel Skinner, step father George Kirkaldie, infant niece Kerrie Ella Kirkaldie and numerous aunts and uncles. She is survived by her husband Jack Huber of Fallon, MT; two sons:  Nathan (April) of Billings, MT, grandchildren Carter, Zoe, Secret, and Atlas; Zackary (Ashley) of Fallon, MT; mother Donna Kirkaldie, her brothers:  Wesley Kirkaldie of AZ; David (Taja) Kirkaldie of Fort Peck, MT; a sister, Kim (Rex) Phipps of Brusett, MT; and a sister-in-law, Cheryl Kirkaldie of Culbertson, MT. Nieces include Tori, Macy, Kylie and Kassie Kirkaldie, and nephews Evan and William Phipps, and James and Mark Kirkaldie

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City with Family Receiving Friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hope American Lutheran Church in Fallon.  Interment will follow in the Prairie County Cemetery in Terry.  Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting:  www.stevensonandsons.com.

My sympathy to Jack and the boys and Donna and Kim and all of the rest of the family whom I don’t know. I worked with Robyn for 11 years at Billings Clinic. She was always upbeat and professional. When there was a crisis or people were upset, you could always depend on Robyn to keep things together. I have missed her since I retired and I know what a loss it is for the clinic. I admire her for her wonderful personality, her smile and her sense of adventure. She truly was a “Tenacious Dame”! I hope all the wonderful memories will help ease the loss for all who knew and loved her.

    April 6, 2022 at 12:42 pm

How shocked and saddened I was to hear of Robyn’s passing. Having lost a parent and spouse of my own at such a young age, I well understand the depth of your loss. I worked with Robyn for 16 years but knew her closer to 30+ from the good ole Alta days. I admired the love and dedication she had for her family. I know how much she loved Jack, Zack and Nathan and grandchildren as was evidenced by all the wonderful memories created and captured by her pictures. How she loved you all so! Her stories of you so very precious indeed. I truly hope that your memories of such an amazing woman will soon replace the feeling of the sadness of loss that you are experiencing right now. The whole family truly has my utmost deepest, most sincere condolences. Mother, sister, wife, or friend, Robyn touched us all. She will not be forgotten. Peace be with you my friend.

    Goodbye Robyn,

I was fortunate to become friends with Robyn through a nearly a five year “Carpool”. Living in the same community with a person does not bind people the way commuting to work 4-5 days per week, 50 some weeks a year, for over five years, at 80-100 miles per day round trip. An hour commute can offer a solemn transit, lively debate, raunchy humor, philosophical meanderings, religious awakenings, random musings, a kind ear or plain fellowship. This could all be reversed on the return trip or expanded two fold; we never knew. Robyn was a genuine person that was raised a true Ranch Gal in the Hays Lodgepole country. The stories of her youth and the remoteness of the ranch she was raised on could not be made up fables without her not living it. She was a faithful servant of God and her aid to Prairie County’s youth in helping them explore their path was admirable. She served many roles at Billings Clinic in the years I knew her. The cover of her book said “Team Player”. I chuckle to think back when the roads were treacherous, she would slip her way 10 miles to our meeting spot in Terry and if it was her turn to drive to Miles, I might be told to switch seats with her for the remaining 40 miles of joyful winter driving. She wasn’t going to shirk her duty to provide a car for the day but she dang sure had enjoyed black ice all she cared too some mornings!! Persevere Huber Family, LK

My sadness of hearing of Robyn’s passing is great. My heartful condolences to the Huber family. I came to work at Billings Clinic on a temporary basis over a decade ago. When i showed up Robyn had an arm in a sling. She told me about the fall from her motorcycle. I figured that would be the end of her riding. NOT Robyn, she was itching to get back in the saddle. I remember waving to her some years later as she was riding with the Dames in the Mile’s City Bucking Horse Parade. We shared a lot of stories and ideas while at Billings Clinic. I still have a beautiful photo from her of Wyoming mountains and water. She dabbled in pottery for a while. We shared that love of arts and craft, and she was GOOD! Mostly i loved the fact that we could talk about important stuff like children and grandchildren as well as house remodeling. I was really impressed when we could respectfully argue over politics in a time when respectful was not usually associated with politics. She was not cowed by hierarchy, yet was respectful of the job we each did at Billings Clinic. And her knowledge of financial medical assistance for those in need (among many other things) was very valuable to those needing it. Her loss is a loss to her Family, to the friends writing here, to Billings Clinic, women motorcyclist and the world. So sorry she left us so young.

Her and my youngest shared a birthday and she always lit up when we came in with him as her birthday buddy. I am so sad to hear of her passing. She would talk about her grandkids and children and she obviously loved them SO much! We will miss seeing her in the office and give our deepest condolences to the family.
