Rodger Glenn Ladson, age 81 of Rosebud passed away on Friday April 14, 2017 at the VA Community Living Center in Miles City.
Rodger was born in Bucyrus, North Dakota on January 8th, 1936 the son of Glenn Albert Ladson and Amelia (Weil) Ladson. After graduating from Wing High School, he worked a couple of years then joined the Army in 1960 and following his discharge in 1963 he moved to New England, North Dakota and met Sherryl T. Hewson in which he married on May 18, 1963. After they were married they moved to South Dakota for a while before moving to Montana in 1971. They lived in Colstrip until 1972 when they finally moved to Rosebud. He worked for Roundup Powder in Miles City then later worked for Western Energy Coal Mine in Colstrip for several years doing a few different jobs including being an explosive handler. Rodger enjoyed working on engines and cars, being outdoors, traveling in his motor home and spending time with his family.
Rodger is survived by his wife, Sherryl Ladson of Rosebud, MT: four children: Toy M. Olson, Glasgow MT, Rodel K. (Rob) Larson, Pequot Lakes MN, Steven W. (Erin) Ladson, Marysville WA, and Daisy A. (Ed) Fischer, Forsyth MT: two sisters: Joyce M Knutson and Betty A (Glen) Smith: an a brother John W. (Janet) Ladson. He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Lorraine G. (Al) Breckenridge, Norman A. Ladson, Zola M. (Jim) Carean, Lloyd M. Ladson, Caroline S. (Percy) Hansen, Gene A. (Maggie) Ladson, Melvin L. (Linda) Ladson and Jerry D. (Dell) Ladson.
Visitation will be held on Monday April 17th, 2017 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City with family receiving friends from 4:00 – 6:00 pm. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 18th, 2017at 1:00 pm at the Forsyth Cemetery with full military honors. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of the arrangements.
