Memorial services for Roger Hockett will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 31, 2004, at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Gordon Harper of the Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church officiating.
Roger Hockett, age 65, of Gillette, Wyoming, died December 28, 2004, at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyoming of complications of multiple sclerosis.
Roger Lee Hockett was born May 1, 1939, the son of Kenneth Allen and Lola (Allen) Hockett in Grand Island, Nebraska. Rogers mother died giving birth to him; he was then adopted by Lolas brother and sister-in-law, Dorothy and Deloss Hockett. After Roger graduated from the Campbell County High School in Gillette, Wyoming, he attended colleges in Casper, Wyoming and Billings, Montana. Roger entered the U.S. Air Force in 1958 and served as an airman 2nd class until his discharge in 1962. Roger married Irene Martinez on June 25, 1966 in Gillette, Wyoming. The couple later divorced in 1982. Roger later married Sheila Kay Harvey, who he met at the Pioneer Nursing Home on June 14, 1985 in Gillette, Wyoming.
Roger enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports.
Roger is survived by five brothers and two sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
