Ronald Scott Dalke, age 71, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, in Broadus, Montana, of natural causes.
Ron was born on December 1, 1954, in Great Falls, Montana, to the late Reuben John Dalke and Dolores Viola Matland. He is survived by his sister, Debbie Williams; his two brothers, Richard Dalke and Gary Dalke; his daughter, Brandy Proios; and his two grandchildren, Johnathan Proios and Julia Proios.
Ron married Pamela Jean Bowers in 1975, and they had a daughter Brandy Elizabeth Proios (Dalke) in 1977. After Ron and Pamela divorced, Ron married Mary Chute in 1981. He helped raise her two daughters, Chelsea and Beth Hains. They lived in Great Falls and later moved to Havre, Montana. Ron and Mary divorced in 2004.
Ron had many nieces and nephews, including Justin Dalke (deceased), Ember Morales, Rebecca Ramsey, Amanda Rusterholz, and Ryan Dalke. He was also a great uncle to their children.
Ron lived in several locations throughout Montana over the years. While working in road construction, he eventually found his most recent home in Broadus, Montana, where he met the love of his life, Debra (Debbie) Burley. Together, they shared their lives with their beloved dog, Charlie, who was their heart and soul. After the passing of Debbie in 2019 and Charlie in 2025, Ron found comfort spending time with his friends around town.
Ron had a very special friend/family in Broadus. He enjoyed playing the guitar, learning new music, and visiting with friends—often talking about the latest good deal he had found. He will be dearly missed by many, including Sheri, James, Marla, Billie, Don, Austin (and all of the ladies at Big Sky), Karen, Debbie, Dan, Gunner, and Dalton, to name a few.
Ron was a hardworking man with a big heart. He will be missed dearly.
