Interment: will follow in the Valley View Cemetery in Broadus

Ronald Francis Giacometto, age 39, of Boyes, Montana passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2004 near Nisland, South Dakota as the result of an auto accident.

Ronald Francis Giacometto was born on April 10, 1965. Parents, Lawrence and Jane brought the young lad home to the ranch on Belle Creek where he would spend the next five years, moving to the Winland Place on Duncan Creek in 1970. Ron attended the Belle Creek School grades 1 through 3 then rode the bus into Broadus through the 8th grade and also into high school. Ron graduated from high school at the Denver Academy in Denver, Colorado.

Ron married Tammy Lyda in 1987 and to this union two boys, Kyle and Ryley were born. Ron worked at various jobs and on the family ranch until 1989 when he went to Western Dakota Vo-Tech in Rapid City, South Dakota. After graduating from Vo-Tech, Ron returned to Broadus in 1992 and opened K & R Body Shop along with his family. Ron later moved to Belle Fourche, South Dakota where he drove truck. He was presently employed with Watson Trucking.

Ron is survived by his parents, three sons: Kyle, Ryley, and Dillon Giacometto; special friend and soul mate, Megan Bennett and their son Dillon and her children Anna & Josh; a brother, John (Renee) & Children Drew & Alli of Southlake, TX; sisters: Fran (Jim) McCoy and family of Belle Fourche; Ellen (Glenn) Shaver and family of Newport, MN; grandmothers: Georgia Traub and Catherine Giacometto and many Aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.

Ron loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, snowmobiling, 4 wheelers and being with people. He was an outgoing person who enjoyed the company of his many friends and especially his association with his son since Kyle came to live with him in 2003. Ron will be missed by his sons, family, and many friends but not forgotten. We love you Ron!

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2004 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Broadus. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Broadus. Interment will follow in the Valley View Cemetery in Broadus.
