Ronald Norman Robertson, age 64, of Jordan passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014 at the family ranch.
Ronald was born in Jordan, Montana on September 3, 1949, the son of Kenneth Dee and Hazel Virginia (Scott) Robertson. He grew up and attended schools in Jordan, graduating as salutatorian for Garfield County High School. Ronald enlisted in the National Guard in which he served six years as a repair man in Miles City in communications in the 163rd Armored Calvary with his brother Bert. In 1969, Ron returned to the family ranch where he spent many years and loved what he was doing. He enjoyed taking care of his cows as much as anything. He married Teddy Thompson on February 14, 1983 on Valentine’s Day. They eloped to Lewistown where he wanted to multitask so he grabbed a load of cake for the cows and they headed back home.
Ron loved to build barns and shops. He was a great mechanic and loved attending auctions. He enjoyed anything ag related and enjoyed bull sales. Ron also enjoyed taking vacations to Hawaii.
Ron is survived by his wife, Teddy Robertson of Jordan, MT; a daughter, Nichole Selvig and her children Jay, Adam and Silas of Billings; a step-daughter Jayme Butler and her children Cheyanne, Dylan and Phoebey of Billings; a brother Bert Robertson of Jordan; his nieces and nephews: Andy (Jessica) Robertson, Kevin (Lisa) Robertson, Kurtis Robertson, Todd (Sarah) Larson and Mary (Derrick) MacAskill; and a great grandchild Dallis Haines.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2014 from 1:00-6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Jordan. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall in Jordan. Interment will follow in the Steve Fork Cemetery. A potluck luncheon will follow the burial at the VFW Hall. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Jordan is in charge of the arrangements. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Sand Springs Community Church or to the charity of one’s choice.

It is hard to find the words to bring comfort at a time such as this. For over 40 yrs I(Leonard) had a near and dear friendship with Ron and will miss him greatly.
