To the family of Ron Rodgers, Please accept my sympathy for your loss. I have found much comfort from the promises held out in God’s Word. When I read that your Ron held to the serenity prayer, I felt compelled to share with you what God can and will do. Isaiah 33:24 promises the future when no one will be sick on this earth, & that there will be a resurrection (meaning a “standing up again”) of those who have died. ( John 5:28,29) and at that time God will swallow up death forever. (Isaiah 25:8). How wonderful to know that while man can not make those changes we can look forward to the time when God will. May this be an encouragement to you as well.

We won’t be able to make it to Laurel, but I wanted to express how much I enjoyed working with Ron at DEAP. He was always a cheerful face no matter what was going on at work or elsewhere. My family will also miss seeing him out in the community.

Run with a very dear friend. He always had a handshake and a smile and a good word to say. I remember Ron having some difficulties with relationships at work. We talked and found solutions. Years later he reminded me of the good solutions we had discussed. Always , he put friendship first. A great asset to mankind will be missed

My best memory of Ronnie is that he always made you feel like his friend. He had a heart that was even bigger than those big hands of his that I remember growing up as a kid in Laurel. Our thoughts and prayers are with Chuck, Shirley, Debbie and Steve.

I am so sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. He was a sweet, gentle man. We always looked forward to having him at our meetings during holidays when he visited Laurel. It has been my pleasure to know him for many years and be able to call him my brother in the program. I know he is at peace and spending time with our friend Perry sipping coffee around the kitchen table in Heaven. May God grant you peace and comfort at this time. We will all see him again when we finally come home.
