I know we are all feeling sad,
That we’ve lost our Grandpa Ronnie….
Together we have all cried an ocean of tears
As we feel so empty and hold many fears
But Grandpa Ronnie would want us to know he’s in a good place
And that he watching us all with a smile on his face
Thinking back now we really must say
we feel lucky and privileged to have known Grandpa Ronnie to this day
For in our life, he has played a special part
The memories we will treasure and keep close to our heart
Especially when he’d make us laugh…..
And for all of the family/friends, be grateful, his life is now complete
He no longer is suffering and in pain
Be thankful for the good times we shared with Grandpa Ronnie
Although he has gone, we will always be together
And his spirit will live on in each one of us forever
When you look to the sky, look for the brightest star
That will be Grandpa Ronnie looking down on us from afar
And now I would like to thank the good Lord above
For blessing us with our Grandpa Ronnie, with his kindness and love and laughter
Dear God, if it is not too much fuss
Take extra special care of our Grandpa Ronnie, for he is very dear to us
Grandpa Ronnie, if you are listening, say a prayer for us every day
Be sure to protect us and guide us on our way
We know when God called you, you had to go
But we want you to know Grandpa Ronnie we miss you and love you so much…….

Geneva, John, Ronette and family. My prayers are with you all. Ron was a great story teller, when we ran into each other he would tell a humorous story and expect one in return. That sure gave my memory a workout. Ron was great explaining Cheyenne culture. He will be sorely missed by the NCTS family.

I am sure that Ronnie made a huge difference with many young people through his work at the School. The students knew that he cared for them and always wanted them to do their best. The example he set with his kindness and respectful, gentle manner will not be forgotten. I enjoyed working with him and knowing him as a friend and neighbor. Prayers to Geneva, John, and Ronnette and the entire family.

Wow… ? A lot can happen in year, I can’t believe that “Mr. Glenmore” has passed on. He was one heck of an “edjumacated” awesome man! I remember him from grade school all the way to my BINGO calling days at Charging Horse Casino. I never knew his first name until that time(ha!), he always told my class that our elders should be addressed as “Mr, Mrs, or Ms… He taught us how to respect and in return, respected us too… Gosh…. I’m sure gonna miss u Mr Glenmore.?Sending my condolences and prayers to Mrs. Glenmore and family… Take Care, GOD BLESS!

My deepest condolences to all of the family. Ronnie was always such a gentleman, with kindness and compassion to everyone he met. He had a wonderful way of making one feel included and seemed to find time for a chat. I have thought about both him and Geneva as they were the first ones to come to my assistance when I slid off the highway and and up through a barbed wire fence. Thank you both.

Ron and I served in the same U.S. Army communications unit in Germany, during which time he taught me enough Cheyenne that we could enjoy ourselves immensely during the occasional slow times. Our entire platoon would be hanging out in the section room, just shooting the breeze, while the two of us would joke about our friends in this language the others did not understand. There was never any malice in any of it, but the literal descriptions of our fellow soldiers would have had them looking for sneaky revenge if they’d known what we were saying.
Having known Ron was also the inspiration for the strong Cheyenne character of the beautiful girl, Laughing Brook, in my book, Tam the Tall Tale Teller, as well as her half-Cheyenne son, the Heyókȟa warrior known as Laughing Wolf.
The last time we saw each other was after the rodeo in Busby in 1981, where I was the rodeo announcer and did a terribly poor job of it, having been away from the sport too long and being unprepared for the sometimes lengthy waits between bucking horses coming out of the chutes. As my wife and I were leaving, we happened to encounter Ron, who summed it up perfectly in a few words: “Ran out of rodeo words?” He was smiling, gently amused, yet made sure I’d never make that mistake again!
Nor would I ever forget Ron. He was not the sort of Soul one forgot. I’ve thought of him often over the years, always with affection and respect. He was and is the best.
May the blessings be.
