Ronald (Ron) Sherwood (Grumps) peacefully passed away August 7, 2018. Ronald was born December 27, 1940, in Rapid City, South Dakota to Wayne and Effie (Renshaw) Sherwood. He attended school in Rapid City. On July 29, 1961, he married Sharon Olson and to this union three children were born and later divorced. He later married Janet Jordan and they also had three children. They also later divorced.
Ron lived and worked in Custer and Rapid City, South Dakota until he retired and moved to Montana. Ron enjoyed the great outdoors, but his favorite thing to do was go fishing. He also collected trains.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Effie Sherwood; his grandparents, Elba and Ethel Williams.
Ron is survived by his children, Christina (Jim) Hardesty of Colstrip, Montana, Randy (Dana) Sherwood of Casper, Wyoming and Steven (Renee) Sherwood of Libby, Montana, Jessica (Ryan) Jennings of Spearfish, South Dakota, Kate Sherwood of Rapid City, South Dakota, Jared (Veronica) Sherwood of Rapid City, South Dakota. He has twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Pat Tines and Mary Skillingstad and one brother, Greg Sherwood.
A pot luck BBQ picnic will be held September 16, 2018 at the Rye Park in Colstrip at 12:00 P.M. in his honor. Please bring a dish and join us!
