In Memory Of

Ronald Whitedirt, age 39, of Lame Deer

October 9, 1978 – July 23, 2018

Ronald Dean White Dirt, 39 years old (Indian name named after Gary Walkslast) left to be with creator Monday July 23, 2018 at his home.  On October 9th, 1978 early sunrise that Thursday Elrena White Dirt gave birth to a baby boy at crow agency hospital.  As the oldest, he became a big brother to Stella Seminole, Sharee Seminole/John, Shanae Seminole /Troy and little brother who meets him on the other side Deon Seminole.

Ronald early childhood was like any other child active, normal, and growing until he was about 7 developed epilepsy that forever changed his life.  Ronald lucked out and had two moms, his other mom   Ava and Mary walkslast looked after Ronald later to be a grandma baby to Mae White Dirt who raised him. Ronald was blessed with his favorite auntie Bonnie Littlesun as his second mom who he dearly so loved and enjoyed their precious moments.  He grew up with his cousins and siblings venturing out from grandma house to explore the hills near by, play kick the can, not it, and many other outdoor activities no matter what season it was. Jeffery Bearing aka peanuts became his best friend even to this day checking on Ronald.  Both graduated in the year of 1996 from Lame Deer High School, a big fan of the morning star basketball team he followed them to as many games as he could.  He loved his hometown Lame Deer so much he became a volunteer fire fighter for 20 years.  Growing up traditional he was part of the elk horn scrapper society and was very helpful in ceremonial ways and cultural activities.  You could always count on Ronald to be at the Sundance wanting to help and finding him tending to the fire.  A active member of the Catholic church he had his spot reserved and would help take around donation basket and cedar of the people.  He truly was a good man with a heart of gold and spirit of a warrior.. Ronald just wanted to live a normal life in hopes of having a companion by his side. Instead he was blessed with nieces and nephews who he loved but showed that stern mean uncle kind of love .  Ronald enjoyed his Marlboro light cig and his favorite drink Mt Dew even if it meant walking all the way to Cheyenne Depot at any hour for them.  The boy enjoyed camping out, and always prepared with his knife and flash light collection. He loved to go picking berries, looking for turnips and mushrooms.  Like ant guy he enjoyed hunting fishing, cruising around, checking out chicks, meeting new people, and most of all helping his grandmother and sparring partner Mae Whitedirt.  Love even found Him later to split and return back to his life at grandma Maes.   Toward the end of his journey it’s was like he knew time was coming to an end because he just wanted live and see the world.  So he ventured out to the park uptown and hung out.  Ronald could understand Cheyenne spoke some Cheyenne and was a humble helping man.  He loved to joke around with his own Sense of humor and mischievous smile to go with it.

With a smile also comes sadness, sadness to his loved ones who will miss him and never forget him. His memories will live on while he proceeds in death joining his lost loved ones Deon, ledeana Kay, Marcus, Uncle Herbie, the other grandmas and grandpa and also with the Great Charlie Whitedirt, and Julia whistling elk his great grandparents. Survived by all three of his mom’s Elrena Bonnie and Mae including his sisters, Cindy Craig, will mourn his death.  He is free no more pain no more hurt no more sorrow no more loneliness. MAHEO called him home his purpose here on earth was served and the lives he touched will be molded for what’s to come.  Ronald will be sad for his grandma Mae losing another loved one and being lonely, so please, pray for him to check up on her from time to time. We are blessed to have a 90 year old grandmother with us here today.
