Ronalda Karen “Dolly” Schneider was born on June13, 1955 in Miles City, MT to Edwin Schneider and Esther (Bauer) Schneider. Dolly was the fourth born child out of eight children.
Dolly worked at the activity center for Eastern Montana Industries since 1974. This is where she made new friends and enjoyed having something to do. After her mother passed away in 1980, she later joined the Gordon Group Home in Miles City.
Dolly had a way to butter you up by telling you that you were pretty. She did all this so that she could talk you out of your purse, wallet, pop, notebooks, or anything else that you may have had that she wanted. She was “Firing” one staff member or another on a daily basis. Dolly was spunky and witty and kept everyone on their toes. She loved giving her brothers a bad time. She would tell them that she was mad at them followed by a “you know why”. They were all very protective of her until the end.
Dolly’s big love in life was purses! Her mother had to quit taking her to church on Sunday because when she would see a lady with a purse, she would say out loud, “I want that purse!” That was the end of Dolly’s church days with her mom. When she was younger Dolly liked to fill her purses with rocks, which she considered money. As she got older, she got the real dollar bills and packed pens, paper, and wallets. Her favorite meal was meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and gravy. Besides purses she loved pop and Reese’s peanut butter cups.
Dolly is survived by two brothers Ron (Samantha) Schneider and Greg (Beth) Schneider of Miles City; one sister Starla Williams of Miles City; two sisters-in-law Shelly Schneider of Dickinson, ND and Carol Schneider of Miles City; four nieces Jenny Lindvold, Talia Crenshaw, Lynn Mitchell, and Breanna Schneider; 5 nephews Doug Schneider, Robert Schneider, Willis Schneider, Travis Schneider and Robert Williams; several great nieces and nephews; and all of the Staff and Clients at EMI , they were definitely her extended family.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Edwin and Esther Schneider; one sister Karen; and three brothers Willis Schneider, Jerome Schneider, and Michael “Blackie” Schneider.
We want to thank the staff at EMI and the Gordon Group Home for providing Dolly with loving care on a daily basis.

This just broke my heart, when Starla told me, you went to Heaven. I remember when my sister Janette and I would go to your house on Lincoln, to see Starla, when your parents were still alive. And you would ask Janette why did you bring her with you. She’s a brat. But I guess she can stay. But then you would laugh. And the many times at woods and goods. You would still say I was a brat. But you would like me more if I would buy you a purse. The one time I did, it was the uglies thing I ever saw but you were so happy. You could act so tough and cuss like a trooper but we all knew you were a softy. God received another angel. Prayer and luv to the family.
