In Memory Of

Ronda Hansen, age 55, of Glendive

November 1, 1962 – April 4, 2018

On April 4, 2018 Ronda Rae Hansen left this world to be reunited with her husband Larry.

Ronda was born on November 1, 1962 to Arlo Adams and Ardelle (Metcalf) Adams. Their firstborn, a beautiful daughter with big bright blue eyes. Ronda grew up in Glendive and graduated from Dawson County High School in 1982 where she met Larry Hansen, the love of her life. Ronda married Larry on May 11, 1985.  Ronda loved her family more than anything. She and Larry worked hard to attend all of their kids events and take them on two family vacations every year; snowmobiling in the winter and to the state fair to enjoy concerts in the summer. After Larry passed, Ronda carried him with her in her heart. He truly was her other half. Ronda worked many places over the years, getting her start at her father’s meat shop, Hardee’s and then Eastmont, working there until its closure. She enjoyed caring for the residents, a fitting job for someone so full of love. Ronda also completed her associate of business while being on the deans list.  Ronda was most recently employed by Midrivers Telecommunications as technical support where she enjoyed her position in technology and being surrounded by her co-workers.

Ronda never entered a room without a smile on her face and the excitement to meet new people. She was so warm and welcoming she could put anyone at ease. Although Ronda was soft hearted, she was as tough as steel. She loved hard-work and getting her hands dirty helping with projects. Ronda’s favorite pastime was spending time with her mom, Ardie, children, grandchildren, and her dogs.  Her face lit up whenever she would talk about them.  She was never shy about showing pictures and videos of her family to express how proud she was of them.

Ronda loved to get away on vacation, whether it was to the mountains to snowmobile or the beach visiting her sister, Vicki, in North Carolina. The destination didn’t matter as long as she was with a loved one. Ronda’s second love was riding her motorcycle, if you were in Glendive on the first nice day of spring you would see her cruising around on her Harley. Ronda’s life was always about enjoying life in the moment. She didn’t let the worries of tomorrow weigh down the value of today. Ronda was truly a beautiful soul and made the world a better place for all.  She was loved and will be missed by many.

Ronda is preceded in death by her father Arlo Adams and her husband, Larry Hansen. She is survived by: her three children Levi (Bobbie) Hansen, Brent (Sara) Hansen, Shaunda (Robert) Hansen; her mother Ardie Adams; her sister Vicki (Joe) Griffith; her grandchildren Cassidy, Ashley, Preston, and Dylan; her nephew Hunter and her beloved dogs, Sophie and Lil Bit.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Glendive. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Congregational Church in Glendive. There is a void in the neighborhood. She always had a smile and a wave whenever we passed each other on our way to and from work. I imagine her riding to heaven on her bike. Rest in peace, Rondavu. My sincere sympathy to the family.

  32. Gayle (Smith) Sharbono says

    April 7, 2018 at 4:00 pm

My heart is all together broken. Prayers for strength and understanding during this difficult time.
Ronda and I were childhood friends and we rode her dirt bike all over Makoshika for countless years. We packed hot dogs and tiny cans of pork n beans to cook over an open fire pit. We rode motorcycle in the rain, and the good ole gumbo that we got stuck in and gumbo in our hair. I spent many sleepovers at her house in her basement and she would play her guitar and she was good. I was always helping Ronda with recycling chores that her father would bring home like pulling wires from a type of lead casing and a variety of others. We worked hard. I truly cherish every moment of every day we spent together. Ronda was a beautiful woman, loving mother and loving grandma. I just can’t believe she is gone. My prayer for Ronda is to invite the good Lord for a dirt bike ride and a meal of her favorite spaghetti.
I really am going to miss you my friend.
To her sister Vicki mother Ardie and her family, my prayers for all is strength and understanding
May peace be with you all.
