Rose Lervick

Visitation: Wednesday, in the chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Jordan

Funeral Services: Thursday, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan

Interment: will follow in the Butte Creek Cemetery

Rose Juanita Lervick, age 77, of Billings formerly of Jordan passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2003 at her home in Billings.

Rose was born on October 14, 1925, at her parents ranch in Garfield County, Montana. Rose was the sixth of eight children born to George and Clara Shawver. Rose worked for the Jordan Title Company, then moved to Bozeman where she worked at a bank. She later moved to Spokane, Washington before returning to Jordan where she met and married her husband, Clifford, on September 12, 1945, and they raised 9 children. They made their home in the Brusett area until they moved to Billings in 1958. They later returned and made their home on the Lervick ranch outside of Jordan where Rose also worked for the Garfield County High School for five years. After returning, they moved back to Billings where they were living when she passed away. Rose was not only a mother to her own children but to many others. Rose was a member of the Blackfoot Home Demonstration Club and to the VFW Auxiliary Club.

Survivors include her husband, Clifford of Billings, Montana; 3 sons Melvin, his wife Linda, and their children, Ryan, Shannon, and Kristina of Redmond, Washington; Leonard, his wife Pat, and their daughter Jeana of Billings, Montana; Tim and his wife Judy of Jordan, Montana and their sons Jeff and John 6 daughters Cathy Redlin, her husband Roger and son Brent and his wife Jennifer of Denver, Colorado; Evelyn Halvorson, her husband Al from Lake Havasu, Arizona, and their children Thomas, Barbie, and Blaine; Roxie Burrows, her husband Bruce of Billings, their daughter Michelle and her daughter Destiny; Sandy Gibson, her husband Joe, and their sons Jamie and Ty of Jordan, Montana; Connie Miller, her husband Mark, and their children Christopher and Sara of Billings, Montana; Wanda Beckett, her husband Doug, and their daughters Alyssa and Stephanie of Billings, Montana; seventeen grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is also survived by two sisters: Mary Billing and Clara Saylor of Jordan, MT; a brother, Frank Shawver of Raytown, MO; and two sisters-in-law: Marguerite Shawver of Brusett, MT; and Jessie Shawver of Jordan, MT.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and two sisters.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2003 in the chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Jordan. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 2, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan. Interment will follow in the Butte Creek Cemetery.
