In Memory Of

Roselyn “Rosie” Gray, age 59, of Ashland

April 5, 1960 – March 22, 2020

Roselyn Gray, age 59, left us and went home to be with her mom, dad, brothers, and sister early on Sunday morning at Saint Vincent’s hospital in Billings, Montana with her sisters, LaDonna, Anna, and her companion, Gerald Rowland at her side after a long fight with cancer.

She was born in Crow Agency on April 5, 1960 to John and Julia Gray, the youngest of seven children. She grew up around the Ashland area, went to school at St. Labre and received her GED there. Rosie then continued work as a bus driver for the school, custodian, grounds crew and maintenance department, then went to work at the Heritage Living Center up until her passing. She received her CNA license through her employment there and she enjoyed her job as a CNA-RA and loved helping all the elderly there. She enjoyed driving them to appointments, field trips and their favorite, BINGO. She enjoyed family outings and holidays with family, especially her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Rosie is survived by her two sisters, Vina (Charles) Dircks, LaDonna Eagle; favorite brother in law, Stanley; and brother, Nate (Chris) Littlebird of Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her mom and dad, Julie and John Gray; brothers, Daniel Oldbull, Leroy and Larry Gray; and sister Christine Littlebird.

Rosie had adopted Michael John Gray, Stanley (Sonny) Eagle Jr., Shawn and Alan Rowland as her own.

She developed a friendship with everyone at the heritage Center and enjoyed visiting others, coworkers and staff.

We come from a large family, we consider cousins, sisters, brothers, Myron Littlebird, Leland, Leonard Dorian and Royce Gray, Gilbert Dale Walkslast as her brothers, Nellie Hogan, Limana, Rita and Johanna Red Neck, many others she considered her sisters and her auntie, Susie Tall Whiteman Wilsey.

Her extended family consists of Little Mouths, Bear Comes Outs, Medicine Tops, Littlebirds, Tall Whitemans, Clubfoots, White Wolf, Harris, Foote, and Fox.

Sorry if we missed you, our family is too large. Thank you all for your prayers.

Special thanks to the Heritage Living Center in Ashland, Denver Medical Center and St. Vincent’s Hospital in Billings.
