RUBY CAROLINE GROSETH HAGADONE

On February 1, 2007, Ruby Hagadone departed this earthly realm to walk with God in His beautiful eternal Garden of Heaven, from the Bethel Group Nursing Home in Williston, North Dakota.
Ruby Caroline, born May 31, 1915 in Williston, North Dakota to Norwegian immigrant parents, Carl and Mattie (Berg) Groseth, she was a first generation American. She was very proud of this fact.Ruby attended school in Trenton, North Dakota and Williston, North Dakota and at the age of 21 moved to Poplar, Montana where she married William Hagadone on July 3, 1937. To this union of 42 years were born 10 children whom they raised on the family farm south of Poplar. Ruby was a gracious hostess who always had the coffee perked and a plate of cookies ready to greet family and friends as soon as they entered her home. But Rubys greatest pleasure other than family and friends was her flower and vegetable garden. She had a magical green thumb and could make any plant flower and any vegetable to over-produce!Ruby was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church for over 60 years, and a member of the Poplar Wild Rose Club and the 55+ Club.
Ruby Hagadone is survived by 8 children; Sharon (Larry) Collins of Broadus, Donald (Jackie) Hagadone of Poplar, Mary Lou (Jimmy) Simons of Poplar, James (Peggy) Hagadone of Plevna, Linda (Bill) Kohl of Missoula, Leanne (Steve) Matejovsky of Orting, Washington, Allen (Joan) Hagadone of Townsend, Dwayne (Lydania) Hagadone of Poplar, 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 3great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters; Hazel Jacobson and Ion Olson both of Williston, North Dakota, sister-in-law Nora Hagadone of Wolf Point, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband Bill, daughters Joyce Marie Hagadone, and Elaine Hagadone Cain, sister Esther Jacobson, brother Miles Groseth, and parents Carl and Mattie Groseth.
Prayer service will be held Sunday, February 11, at 7:00 p.m. and Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 12, at 10:00 a.m.,all at the St. Johns Lutheran Church in Poplar, Montana. Interment will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Wolf Point, with a luncheon to follow at the St. Johns Church in Poplar. Memorials may be sent to the St. Johns Lutheran Church.
