Funeral services for Russell Walston will be 10:00 AM, Monday, April 19, 2004, at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home in Gillette, Wyoming. Interment will follow at the Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Gillette, Wyoming. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM, Sunday, April 18, 2004, at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette.
Russell Walston, age 44, of Gillette, Wyoming, died Wednesday, April 14, 2004 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Sheridan, Wyoming.
Russell Ray WalstonJr.was born May 1, 1959 the son of Russell Ray Walston, Sr. and Helen Joann (Loysey) Walston in Denver, Colorado. Russ was raised and educated in the Denver area. In the mid 1980s, Russ went to Sheridan, Wyoming. In the early 1990s he moved to Gillette, Wyoming and worked for the area oilfields, including Alliance Drilling. At the time of his death, he was working maintenance for Naxus Apartment Buildings.
Russ loved fishing and being outdoors. Over the course of one summer a couple of years ago, Russ & his good friend Riley went treasure hunting in the Black Hills using a treasurers map and in the process even enjoyed panning for gold, this was one of his fondest memories.
Russ is survived by his adoptive family, Ulysses & Deb Riley of Gillette, Wyoming and the friends of Bill W.
