Russell L. Nash, age 57 of Colstrip died peacefully in his sleep at home on June 25, 2008.
Russ was born in Fargo, N.D. on August 7, 1950 to Jim and Joyce Nash. He grew up in North Dakota and Minnesota, moving with his family to Laurel, MT in 1963. After graduating form Laurel High School, he served in the Navy on Midway Island during the Vietnam War.After his service he married Cheryl Wheeler on December 16, 1972. In 1973 he started his career with Montana Power in Billings. Shortly thereafter he moved to Colstrip, MT where he worked as a board and plant operator for Montana Power retiring in August of 2000. He loved riding his motorcycles, camping, boating, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Russell is survived by his wife Cheryl; two sons Aaron (Amy) of Billings, Paul (Tisha) and their children Alan and Emma of Washington; one daughter Katrina and her children Gabriel and Abigail of Colstrip. He is also survived by his mother Joyce Nash; two brothers, Jim (Nancy) of Florida, Philip (Pam) of Park City and sister JoAnn (Roger) Mourich of Billings and many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father James.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
