In Memory Of

Russell Rice

Upon his request, no services will prevail. Cremation has taken place. A memorial for family and close friends is planned on Memorial Day, May 31, 2004 in Roundup, Montana

Russell Eugene (Gene) Rice, age 68, of Gillette, Wyoming, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2004 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyoming of natural causes.

Upon his request, no services will prevail. Cremation has taken place. A memorial for family and close friends is planned on Memorial Day, May 31, 2004 in Roundup, Montana. Russell Eugene Rice was born May 3, 1935 the son of William C Rice and Delia (Irvin) Rice in Roundup, Montana, where he was also raised and educated. On November 3, 1956, he married Barbara E. Mock in Roundup, Montana. They traveled throughout the country with his work in the oil industry. In 1970, they moved to Gillette, Wyoming and have lived there ever since. After the death of his wife, Mr. Rice retired from the True Oil Company in the year 2000.

He enjoyed boating, and camping at the Keyhole Reservoir. He was very involved in the lives of his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his mother-in-law, Margaret Woodcock of Casper, Wyoming; his two daughters: Denise (Roy) Vang of Gillette, Wyoming; and Megan (Nat) Lunan of Mullan, Idaho; one son, Sean Rice of Gillette, Wyoming; six grandchildren: Carrie Lacasse; Rusty Brown; Stephanie Vang; all of Gillette, Wyoming; Tia Lunan; Felicia Rice, both of Mullan, Idaho; and Eric Vang of Edgerton, Wyoming; two great grandchildren: Alex Lacasse and Decota Ernst, both of Gillette, Wyoming; and one sister, Roberta (Kate) Morse of Missoula, Montana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers, three sisters and one great grandson.
