Interment: ill follow in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery

Funeral services for Ruth Bennick, age 79, of Gillette, will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at the First Baptist Church in Gillette, with Pastor Mark Jervis officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3-7 on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at the Stevenson Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Bennick died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes.

Ruth Carolyn Bennick was born on August 9 1926, the daughter of Leslie and Lennie (Teague) Braun in Sheridan, Wyoming. She was raised and educated in Sheridan, graduating from Sheridan High School. Upon her schooling she went to work at a dental office as a dental assistant. On April 14, 1946, Ruth married Junior Lewis Bennick in Sheridan. The couple made their home in Gillette. Ruth was a full time mom until all the kids were in school. She then worked part time for Hunters Drug and then later at The Hope Chest.

Ruth enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family at their cabin in the Big Horns and as of late reading and crossword puzzles. She was a devout member of the First Baptist Church.

Ruth is survived by her four daughters: Gay Robertson, Margo Clements and her husband Otice, Toby Montgomery and her husband Billy and Leslie Dowell; one son Greg Bennick and his wife Terry all of Gillette, Wyoming; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, her parents; 1 sister, Helen Scott and 1 brother Alan Braun and her step-mother Daisy.
