Ryan Adam Dittus, (AKA Flyin Ryan) age 31, of Miles City departed this life on June 12, 2021 doing what he loved, riding hard and living on the edge.
Ryan was born on June 1, 1990 to Rick and J’nine (Frost) Dittus in Casper, Wyoming. He was the second child of four: Bradley, Ryan, Jesse & Hope. Ryan was a natural, pure talent on two wheels. Give him a dirt bike and a track, Ryan would show you how to ride it fast. Friends and competitors alike would agree he was very humble about his ability to race and win. Being on his dirt bike was his favorite place to be. Ryan and his dad Rick formed a strong bond racing in his childhood. The Dittus family went racing most weekends and Ryan was always a top contender. He accomplished many things in racing and made a lot of memories and friendships. The motocross community was a family. Ryan raced a lot of local tracks from Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana.
Ryan had a bond with his family like no other. Losing their older brother at a young age, made the bond between siblings inseparable to the end. Jesse (AKA Bubba) was always his racetrack pitman and was always there to tell him what line to run or what mistakes other riders made. Hope was Ryan’s biggest fan. She would watch and learn from her brother how to be a fast rider and followed the Dittus name and became a racer. Bubba was a spectator until he got older and decided to show his older brother he could be a rider too. They all enjoyed riding together later in life, but the race was always on! Ryan had a bond with his mother like no other. She was his #1 fan and was always there to keep him at his best on and off the road. She would make sure he would have his schooling while he was racing and would make sure the whole family had food, clean cloths, riding gear and a clean home or RV on the road. To the end, J’nine always had Ryan’s back and he had the love of a proud mother.
Ryan married Bethany Bielen in 2012 and they had two daughters, Briley (now age 7) and Kinley (now age 4). Ryan loved his family more than anything. He loved his girls Briley and Kinley more than life itself. He worked tirelessly to make sure his girls knew love and they were the most important part of his life. Although Bethany and Ryan parted ways, Ryan recently found a new wonderful lady Sarah that brought a smile back to Ryan’s face and love back to his heart. Their love for each other grew fast and was built for a lifetime, but sometimes God has other plans. Ryan lived life full throttle, one lap at a time. May we all know the freedom he felt running a final fast lap!
Ryan is survived by his girls, Briley and Kinley; mother J’nine; father Rick; brother Jesse and his children Paisley and Langston; sister Hope, grandma and grandpa Carol and Melvin Dittus; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Ryan was preceded in death by his brother Bradley, grandma Susie and grandpa Lawren “Frosty.”

I have been struggling with how to express my feelings over the loss of Ryan. He was such a kind, gentle, generous young man. This was his nature but also a product of the loving environment in which he was raised. He was so wonderful with Hope and the boys and then later with his own girls and foster children. I can’t imagine the loss you are all going through. Know that you have my prayers, love, and help in the coming days. This is just heartbreaking for all, and we share your grief. Jan
